I am free – Galapagos 2008
Inspirational Galapagos footage from coolbluefilms filmed while on a Whale Shark Expedition with Scuba
Safaris during August 2008 on board the Aggressor fleet. Seeing this it is difficult to beleive that this area
– although a protected national park, does not maintain fully protected fishing and finning restrictions.

The cast (in rough order of appearance), are Dolphins, Sea Lion, Galapagos Shark, Scalloped
Hammerhead, Spotted Eagle Ray, Turtle, Sting Ray, Whale Shark, Silky Shark, Moray Eel, Sea Horse,
Guineafowl Puffer, Black Striped Salema and a huge shoal of Jack. Many of these species are indemic
to the Galapagos islands.
You can just spot the very welcome special visit from a Tiger Shark rarely seen in this location and
“Captain America” Jim Roberts bids farewell at the end.
The music used is by Morgan King and is the La Sarrena full length mix of I am Free from 1993.
Enjoy…..we certainly did making it
Critically Endangered- Fatal attack on shark
In April 2006 a gruesome chance discovery of a freshly killed bull shark in Protea Banks South Africa
unfolds a national news story before your eyes. This is not fiction but actual incredible live footage with
commentary by Asha Sells. Yes 100 million sharks really do suffer the same fate as victims of slaughter
each year and many species including whale sharks face imminent extinction. The Jaws attack was a
fictional film, this murder is indeed obscene and real.
Hammerhead Shark City Sudan
The best two minutes of my life! JCS and I surrounded by these wonderful sharks and filming without any
fear of attack. Never mind the great whites look at these magnificent creatures. The adrenalin buzz
lasted for hours. Such a tragedy that the species faces extinction and as Monty Halls said “when they’re
gone…they’re gone”. Enjoy it while you can and lets all do something positive to prevent it…now.

Music used; Intro to “Roads” by Portishead from their nineties album “Dummy”.
B17 Bomber Dive
Made for Chris Simpson in October 2007 this is a film of the world’s finest intact example of a
submerged B17 bomber. Situated off Island Vis on the coast of Croatia, the aeroplane was shot down
by German anti aircraft fire while flying over Slovenia during WWII in 1944. The pilot escaped alive from
the attack when it belly landed onto the Adriatic Sea. Known as the “Flying Fortress” the Boeing B17 is
best recognised in recent times for being featured in the film Memphis Belle. The music used is Hollow
Requiem which was self composed especially for the film. It is one of the finest wreck dives in the world
and as I’m sure you will agree with Ivan, was “an excellent day…..”
Red Sea Dolphin Diving Egypt 2007
imovie style video short containing excerpts from an amazing week’s diving in Egypt over xmas 2007.
Rosalie Moller and Giannis D swirl with glassfish and a visit from the Dolphins proved really something
else! Tracy waves at the end…what a classic, definitely one to remember for many years to come.
Big Cod – Aliwal Shoal South Africa
This is the first footage to actually not be a true coolbluefilm due to the sepia tone used in the production.
Dating back to 2005 this early edition charts the discovery of truly enormous Potato Cod in Aliwal Shoal
South Africa (more famous for being a prime location in the annual Sardine Run). Also featured are a
small puffer fish and a regular close-at-hand appearance of a Lionfish. The music used is from Jah
Wobble and the Invaders of the Heart and is entitled “Becoming More Like God”.
Blue Hole Dahab Egypt – Nobody Dies This Time
A film intended to illustrate that the menacing danger of the Blue Hole, Dahab Egypt is actually unnecessary
and that after all, its a dive site like anywhere else. It is the level of a diver’s responsibility and experience
that are the governing factors. Watch the snokellers and swimmers pass the camera with no sign of the
horrors at greater depth.
This film is especially dedicated to the likes of Yuri Lipski and Barbara Dillinger. May their memory live
on and no more young lives be lost……..Please dont become another statistic. Dive within your range
of experience, qualification and personal limits.
Music used “Blue Hole” was written and recorded by Andy C.
Blue Film
Introduction to the launch of the coolbluefilms website which will be fully up and running in July 2008.
As well as short movies it will feature articles and forums associated with endangered species
(especially the shark kingdom) and responsible diving of wreck sites and oceans around the world.

This very basic footage was filmed on the way to dive the Sea of Cortez off the coast of La Paz, Baja
California Mexico during 2005. The area is still said to be rich with life but incredibly is now classified
under status endangered.

As to what it was that broke the surface water in the distance… (Whale Shark, Great White, Killer Whale,
Dolphin, Humboldt Squid or even the Lochness Monster!??), nobody knows. The music used “Hold Her
ight” is by Titiyo from the album Come Along.
So……..Come Along with Us…….Let’s Make a Difference……Now
